Tim Marchinton - Director
Tim loves sharing adventure with young people and believes in the magic of Adventure Based Experiential Learning in (ABEL) in a camp environment.
He has delivered adventure therapy programs to children in 35 countries and has held recreation management positions all over the world. He found himself travelling worldwide within the camping industry and began to focus his career on seriously ill children.
He founded Purple Soup in 2002 to provide challenging activity-based programs for children and their families affected by serious illness. These programs are designed to rebuild confidence, self esteem, trust and courage, in a safe, fun and supportive environment. Through Purple Soup he delivers adaptive adventure programs and creates amazing theme days for "time out" programs.
Tim holds a BA in Recreation Management is often engaged as a consultant and trainer in corporate adventure-based team development with some of Australia's leading companies.
He is terrified of even the smallest spiders!
